Sterling silver - how much more gorgeous can you get? It has a nice weight and beautiful sheen that makes it my favorite metal to work with. I swear it's like working with silk.
Content: 92.5% silver, 7.5% copper
Allergy: Sterling does contain copper, so if you have an allergy to copper I would avoid it. Because of the copper content, unfortunately for some people, it can also turn your skin green. If this happens, limit how often you wear it. Skin discoloration is completely harmless and not an allergic reaction.
To clean: Mild soap and water works well, as does a polishing cloth. If your jewelry starts to tarnish and needs to be freshened up, my favorite method is baking soda toothpaste and a toothbrush. I've been using this cleaning method for years on handed-down sterling jewelry, and it works like a charm.
